So My issue goes like this... I've got a modified XP 800 that give's me a headache every year. Is it possible to buy heads with less compression with changing a bunch of parts out and overloaded the pocket book???

OK...we replaced the heads with OEM, thinking that the aftermarket ones had just too much compression on them to function normally. Well, we finished, and put in a new battery and---guess what???---same damned problem.
LkRat is thinking the starter is going out because of it being submerged and kept covered in water for awhile, which sounds possible to me but...this would be the FOURTH starter for close to the same problem. And IMO, starters usually either WORK or DON'T. Soooo???
Any insight by ANYONE would be nice. Maybe bad ground somewhere? It won't even let a single-cylinder compression test go past 60 psi! WTF?? Help??

Well, After a long hard battle. The heads are replaced with OEM thanks to ParkerYamaha.com , the Starter replaced thanks to AtlanticJetSports.com. The starter charged (Odyssey of course). And she's up and going. It been a long battle with this little boat.. Taught me more then I ever wanted to know about PWC's... Not to shabby for a GeeK
